With over 3,000 nominations for businesses across the capital, our judging committee then shortlisted just over 100 finalists between the 16 categories and then over 100,000 votes to determine those who came out on top. Londoners pulled together in the masses to celebrate and credit those who are striving to make London the great city it is and to provide a fantastic lifestyle for Londoners and visitors alike.

I am so proud that everyone got together and celebrated the amazing city which is London - one I believe is the greatest in the world. Over the last couple of years the lifestyle industries have had to work even harder to secure their futures and provide a great lifestyle but they are constantly achieving this and are successful.”
He continues, “We had an amazing turn out last night and I’d like to give thanks to everyone that came and supported our first London Lifestyle Awards!”.

With over 400 attendees a great night was had by all with live entertainment and a nail biting awards ceremony for all to enjoy. The Handmade UK Sandwich Competition

This month saw the first ever Handmade UK Sandwich Competition and with a prize of free sandwiches for a week up for grabs, no one was taking it lightly. Points were awarded for taste, originality and presentation with each tasting every sandwich anonymously and scoring them out of 10 in each category.

The competition did not pass without controversy with Cat’s entrant of bagels igniting a fierce debate over whether a bagel actually counts as a sandwich. In the end originality and creativity won over taste, with Madeleine’s fish-shaped salmon and cucumber sandwiches taking first place, much to the disgust of Harriet and Jason, who finished in the bottom two.
